Zela Terry

Zela Terry began her cello career at the age of 19 as a member of the Pittsburgh Symphony and then joined the New York Philharmonic.  She later held the post of first chair cellist with the Stuttgart Symphony and the International Bach Academy.  In 1990 she became first cello with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Nice. She has served as the cellist for the Orchestra des Concerts Syrinx since its creation. She has soloed frequently with Orchestra Philharmonique de Nice.  At the same time she has frequently played and recorded with some of the great jazz artists.
